At 9:00 am when the park opened for passholders, Adam and I were two of the first to arrive at Valravn. Unfortunately, Valravn was having some mechanical problems, so we skipped out and headed over to Maverick. Malfunctions on new roller coasters with very high ridership is bound to occur.
Adam and I were able to hop on Maverick in the front seat with no wait at all during early ride time. This was our first ride of the season on Maverick, and it’s as great as ever. On this blog, you can read why Maverick is so great.
As seen in my live videos on Facebook on June 6th, Adam and I were able to ride Top Thrill Dragster in the front seat twice! The wait for Dragster was very minimal, so we figured we’d put the phrase “go big or go home” into action. Sure, Dragster is fun in any row, but riding in the front seat is an entirely different experience. I think my face almost got ripped off.
Usually, we sit on the left side on Gatekeeper. This time, we sat on the right. It was unbelievably disorienting switching sides after riding the left side for so long. I definitely recommend to pick side on Gatekeeper and switch every once in a while. It is a self-induced thrill!
Adam and I were able to ride Valravn in the front row. I’ve now experienced the new dive coaster in all three rows, and each one is enjoyable. Adam and I prefer the front or middle row, but the last row is great as well. Stay tuned for my Valre-review!
-If you want a very fun ride on Rougarou, ride it in the front seat. You feel like your feet will literally hit the track, and it makes you grateful that the ride is no longer Mantis.
